Ann Stahler
Chief Executive Officer
Ann Stahler has had various roles in secondary schools, including two Headships spanning from 2005 to present day. She is currently very proud to be the CEO of Lydiate Learning Trust and has been since 2015.
Ann was previously Headteacher of Deyes High School, Sefton, where she led the school through two successful Ofsted inspections. Osted commented that under Ann’s leadership, the school improved rapidly and staff followed her determination and passion to make the school the best it could be.
Due to the success of Deyes High School, the DfE approached Ann and her Governors to develop a multi-academy trust in 2015. Childwall Sports and Science Academy then joined Deyes High School to form Lydiate Learning Trust. The last Ofsted at Childwall Sports and Science Academy described the Trust that Ann leads as “pivotal in the school’s journey of improvement”. Ann now leads a cluster of Secondary and Primary schools in Lydiate Learning Trust.
Ann has also contributed to many school improvement projects in other schools and opened a brand new Teacher Training Centre, Associated Merseyside Partnership SCITT. She believes that teaching is a “craft” that can be honed to provide schools regionally with high quality ECT’s both in the Primary and Secondary sector. Ann became an LLE in 2011 and NLE in 2022.
Ann’s fundamental passion lies in learning and her moral purpose is based on the premise that “all children have the right to be taught by outstanding teachers”. She mentors staff in the classroom, leaders through coaching on the NPQH programme and delivers leadership training at all levels. She is not frightened to take on or work with schools in difficulty offering support for schools in challenging circumstances.
