Operational Support
Lydiate Learning Trust offers operational support across five key areas:
Facilities management
- Asset Management including the use of the CAPEX programme, Asset management plan and Asset Register
- Conditional Improvement Funding bidding or other Funding opportunities
- Health and Safety Management, including Audit, Risk Assessments and reporting of RIDDOR/HSE
- Risk Management, implementing Risk Registers through to action plans to mitigate risk
- Monitoring of regular testing – Legionella, PAT, fire alarm and extinguishers, emergency lighting, water coolers, regular equipment checks for workshops, playground equipment
- Procurement of contracts, advice, monitoring, and value for money. Contracts include Grounds Maintenance, Utilities, Stationary, Cleaning materials, Catering consumables and many other Service Level Agreements
- Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance process and procedures
- Producing reporting dashboards to key stakeholders; SLT, Board of Governors and Link Partners
- Specialist training to support the whole site, including Fire Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH, etc
Internal School Teams Management
- Support in management of key school staff – office staff, reprographics, cleaners, canteen
- Implementation of system and procedures, including specialist departments; Canteen and reception areas including SIMs, CCTV systems, Canteen ordering and tills
- Audit of structure and performance against key performance indicators, providing advice and guidance
- Training and development both of compliance training and best practice
ICT services
- Support developing an ICT Strategy and replenishing ICT assets
- SIMS and related software – advice, support, and guidance on the technical aspects of running a management information system such as SIMS. Guidance and support with the upgrade processes and tasks associated with SIMS
- Hardware – advice, support and guidance on the procurement and provision of new hardware such as laptops, desktop PCs and servers. Guidance on both wireless and wired networking within school
- Office365/Cloud based options – advice, support, and guidance on implementing and using cloud based collaborative tools. Guidance on transitioning from on-premises email to cloud based email
- Data protection/security/e-safety – advice, support, and guidance on best practice computer/mobile device usage when dealing with sensitive personal data. Guidance on content filtering and monitoring to ensure that safeguarding needs are met
- Management and support of key contracts – Photocopying, Cashless Catering, Parent Pay
Marketing and Communications
- Implementation of Marketing Strategy
- Ongoing support from a Trust marketing manager
- Enhanced Social Media presence
- Access to Trust communications tools including design software, publications including newsletters, prospectuses and social media campaigns
- Website OFSTED compliance reviews
Admissions
- Admissions policy – Advice, Support, and guidance
- Management of the Appeals process, including clerking and mid-year admissions
- Transition projects with Y7 and Y12 students
