Studio Student Designs Liverpool Shopping Park Bag
Studio@Deyes has been working with Liverpool Shopping Park to design a one off promotional bag for life.
One of Studio’s talented students designed the winning entry of an intricate hand-drawn illustration of the city’s much-loved and iconic Liver bird.
All entries were judged by Liverpool Shopping Park centre management and local artist Paul Curtis, who painted the shopping park’s city skyline mural. As well as seeing the design in the hands of shoppers, our student also received £50 shopping vouchers for Liverpool Shopping Park.
The winning design featured on 500 shopping bags for life, which were handed out at an event at Liverpool Shopping park, where our students hosted printing demonstrations and fashion shows and spoke to customers about life at Studio@Deyes and its courses, along with Studio staff.
Karen Wild, general manager of Liverpool Shopping Park said: “Studio@Deyes is an inspiring and creative place and we’ve been very impressed by the students’ ideas and the quality of their work. We loved the amount of detail and care put into the design and couldn’t think of a more fitting image for our bags as we have our very own Liver Bird here at the shopping park.”
Head of School John Parry, said: “This competition formed part of the school’s project based learning work and saw students submit designs that took inspiration from shopping, fashion, culture and the area’s local history.”
